Rama tulsi and Krishna tulsi (as known as Shyama tulsi) are the two main varieties of basil. Rama tulsi is light green and Krishna tulsi is dark purple. Out of about 60 types of tulsi, Krishna tulsi is the darkest. Krishna tulsi possesses greater medicinal value and is more useful in curing lung problems. Although it is grown in many regions in India, it is relatively more difficult to find than Rama tulsi. It is famous for its peppery, sharp, crispy taste. It’s used for bronchitis, malaria, fever, asthma, urogenital disorders, vomiting, earache, diabetes, and is anti-bacterial, prevents tuberculosis, leucoderma, etc. Krishna tulsi is considered to be more beneficial to health as compared to Rama tulsi. This honey is from the nectar of Krishna Tulsi flowers growing in the foothills of the Himalayas in Kashmir. Like the plant, it strengthens your respiratory system, and is especially effective in supporting the heart, blood vessels, liver and lungs. It cures sinus, throat pain and cold. It reduces cholesterol levels in the body. It also keeps the kidney healthy and free from toxins.
Note:"Organic Monkey procures pure raw honey directly from tribals and passionate beekeepers all over India. It is unadulterated, unprocessed, unblended, not microfiltered or infused with anything. Pure raw honey never stays the same. As it ages, its color, consistency and/or taste profile may change, crystallization may occur when the natural glucose settles on beneficial microparticles in the honey."
